Slovenia skipper Robert Koren hopes to make a decision over the weekend with several clubs chasing the midfielder's signature.

The 29-year-old was released by West Brom back in May after making 124 appearances for the Baggies and, after appearing for his national side during the World Cup, Koren is keen to sort out his future before the start of the new season.

Koren has been linked with Premier League clubs Wolves and Blackpool as well as Championship side Leicester and SPL giants Celtic. Serie A club Cesena and Spanish outfit Real Sociedad have also expressed a firm interest.

Agent Zoran Krneta told skysports.com: "Robi wants to be back in full-time training and to link up with a new manager and team-mates.

"We believe we have all our final offers in now and it's down to Robi to make a decision on where he feels comfortable moving his family to and working with.

"He's been working hard on his fitness but is aware that the season is imminent and wants to get on with it.”

"We hope to have things sorted in the next 48 hours if it all possible," he added.

"I would like to see him stay in England as he has built himself a name here, but Serie A is an attractive option for any player".

Real Sociedad directors admit they are no closer to agreeing a deal for Manchester City striker Jo and are starting to lose patience.

Jo is currently surplus to requirements at Eastlands, and they are, therefore, keen to move the Brazilian on, but will not be parting with the 23-year-old on the cheap.

City are believed to have paid out some £18million to lure Jo away from CSKA Moscow in 2008 and will be looking to make some return on that investment.

With that in mind, the Spanish outfit are ready to drop their interest and turn their attention elsewhere.

Lazio clinch signing of Man City fullback Garrido

    Roberto Mancini

Lazio have wrapped up the signing of Manchester City fullback Javier Garrido.

Garrido is a ready-made replacement for Aleksandar Kolarov who moved in the opposite direction to Eastlands earlier this month.

The signing of Kolarov pushed Garrido further down the pecking order at City with the Serbian and Wayne Bridge ahead of him in Roberto Mancini's plans.

Spaniard Garrido struggled to establish himself at City since arriving from Real Sociedad in 2007 and Mancini is willing to let him move as he looks to trim his huge squad.

"Garrido is a Lazio player. He was our first choice to replace Kolarov," said Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
