About Stade Brestois 29
Stade Brestois 29 (also known as Stade Brestois, Brestois 29, Brestois29 or simply Brestois) is a professional French football club based in Brest, France and competes in the top division of French football; Ligue 1. Stade Brestois holds it home matches at the Stade Francis-Le Ble; a multi-use stadium in Brest, France which is able to hold 10,228 people.
Brestois was founded in 1903 and played in national leagues for most of its history until reaching Ligue 2 in 1970 and competing in Ligue 2 until 1979. Brestois achieved promotion to Ligue 1 for the 1979/80 season but was relegated back down by the end of that season for a single season in Ligue 2.
Brestois returned to Ligue 1 for the 1981/82 season and played there until slipping down to Ligue 2 for another single 1988/89 season. Brestois achieved promotion again to Ligue 1 and played there between 1989 and 1991 when another relegation arrived for the team. Brestois returned to Ligue 1 for the 2010/11 season.
