About Brescia
Brescia Calcio is a professional Italian football club based in Brescia, Italy which competes in the highest division of Italian football; the Serie A. Brescia Calcio holds its home matches at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti stadium which has room for 27,547 spectators.
Brescia Calcio was founded in 1911 and spent most of the time since then between the two top divisions until relegation to Serie C1 in 1982. in 1985, Brescia Calcio achieved promotion to Serie B in 1985.
In 1994, Brescia Calcio won the Anglo-Italian Cup and that was the greatest achievement of the team to date. In the 2000/01 season, Brescia Calcio finished in the 7th place of Serie A table and therefore qualified for the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
In the end of the 2004/05 season, Brescia Calcio finished in the 19th place and thus relegated. After struggling for several seasons to return to the top-flight, Brescia Calcio achieved promotion back to Serie A for the 2010/11 season. Brescia News
