Colombia's national football team represents Colombia in association football competitions vs. foreign national football teams. Colombia's national football team holds its matches at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho (also known as El CampĂn) stadium which is the main stadium of Bogota, Colombia with a capacity of 44.000 seated spectators. Although Colombia is known for having famous football players; Colombia's national football team became Copa America champions once in 2001 after being one of the most successful national teams between 1985 and 2001. Since 1998, Colombia's national football team failed to compete in the FIFA World Cup.
Colombia's national football team has also failed to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup after being defeated in the Exhibition Match against South Africa a month before the World Cup started and achieving a 1-1 draw in another Exhibition Match played in England against Nigeria. Colombia News
