About Bologna FC
Bologna (also know as Bologna FC, Bologna Football Club, Bologna Football Club 1909 and rossoblu) is an Italian football team which plays in the top league of the Italian football, Serie A. Bologna was founded in 1909 in Bologna, the capital city of Emilia-Romagna. Since Bologna was founded it won the Italian League Championship more than six times. Bologna football club players wear red and blue striped shirts wear.
In the 80's (1981-1982) Bologna club begun sliding by first being relegated from Serie A twice. Bologna has climbed back to Serie A in the 1988-1989 season after playing football for 4 years in Serie B but did not manage to remain there for long and were relegated in 1991 down until playing in Serie C1 in 1993.
Bologna has returned to play in Serie A in 1996. two years later, Bologna won the UEFA Intertoto cup and played in the UEFA Cup. Bologna was relegated from Serie A until the 2004-2005 season. Although it was expected that Bologna will fight hard for promotion from Serie B to Serie A in the 2005-2006 season, Bologna surprisingly ended the 2005-2006 season in Serie B, at the 8th place. In the following season of 2006-2007, Bologna ended up in the 7th place in Serie B. It was only in the 2007-2008 season that Bologna was promoted back to Serie A after finishing second in Serie B.
Bologna fans are very supporting and travel and attend many of the teams matches. The fans of bologna are very proud that the Bologna Football club has won the Italian League Championship many times.
