About Juventus FC
Juventus FC (aka Juventus, Juve, bianconeri and officially: Juventus Football Club) is a top Italian Seria A football club, with the best record of success and titles in the Italian League. Juventus FC is based in Turin at the northern part of Italy. Juventus football club is one of the most popular Italian clubs both in Italy and abroad with millions of fans all over the globe. All in all, Juventus FC won over 50 titles of which 40 are Italian First Division (Seria A) Championships and Cups. In short, Juventus can be counted as one of the ten most successful clubs in Europe, and is one of the top four Italian clubs that traditionally form the top of the league (with Inter Milan, AC Milan and AS Roma).
Juventus was formed at the end of the 19th century, by a group of school boys from the Massimo D’Azeglio School in Turin. By 1905 the club won its first Italian Football Championship. In the following years Juventus won the Italian Championship 6 times between 1925-1935 seasons, and 13 times between the 1957-1986 seasons. As runners ups for the Italian title Juventus played about 20 times. In 2006 Juventus was accused at being involved in match fixing scandal and was stripped of the two titles won unfairly at 2005 and 2006, and was relegated to Seria B for the first time in its history. The relegation caused many key players to leave Juventus, and led to a crisis. The club won the Seria B and returned to the Seria A after one season, but did not win any title since. Still, Juventus is considered one of the best football clubs in the world, with glorious history.
Juventus announced the rebuilding of the Delle Alpi stadium to the capacity of 41,000 seats and without the running track (which left the seats a long way away from the pitch in the old stadium). The Delle Alpi was Juventus’s stadium for 15 seasons at 1990-2006. It was constructed for the 1990 FIFA World Cup. From 2006 Juventus club use the stadio olimpico in Turin that was built for the 2006 Winter Olympics. The new stadium is due for completion for the 2011-12 season. Juventus tickets are in high demand as the number of seats in the stadium does not match the demand. Juventus use other stadiums in Turin area from time to time, such as the San Siro stadium, home of arch rivals Inter Milan and AC Milan.
