About Malaga CF Malaga CF (also known as Malaga Club de Futbol or Boquerones) is a professional Spanish football club based in Malaga and plays in the first division of Spanish football; La Liga. Malaga CF has played more than eight seasons in La Liga and more than two seasons in each Segunda Division and Segunda Division B. Malaga CF won the Segunda Division in the 1998/99 season; in 2002, Malaga CF won the UEFA Intertoto Cup for the first time in the club's history and then qualified for the following 2003 season UEFA Cup in which Malaga CF reached the quarter-final stages. In both 2005 and 2008, Malaga CF won the Trofeo Costa del Sol; a summer tournament that was organized by the club it self. In the 2007/08, the team achieved Runners-up in the Segunda Division.
