About Atalanta BC

Atalanta (also known as Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, Atalanta, Atalanta Bergamo, Nerazzurri, Orbici, Regina delle provinciali or Atalanta BC) is an Italian football club which is based in Bergamo, Lombardy. Atalanta football kit consists of blue & black vertically striped shirts, black shorts and black socks.

Atalanta was founded way back in 1907 as FC Bergamo and joined the Italian League in 1929. it was only in 1937 when Atalanta reached Serie A for a short period. Atalanta has been relegated shortly afterwards. 3 years later, In 1940; Atalanta has returned to Serie A, at this time Atalanta has managed to remain in Serie A until 1959.

it took Atalanta only one season to get promoted back from Serie B to Serie A and remained their for 10 years. In 1973, Atalanta had a rough period in which Atalanta experienced a series of promotions and relegations between Serie A and Serie B.

In 1981, Atalanta was relegated to Serie C1, this has made it clear for the club that Atalanta must play hard in order to get promoted and within 1 season only, Atalanta has made it back to Serie B, in the following season, after playing really hard throughout the season, Atalanta has made it back into Serie A. Atalanta club plays its home games in the Atleti Azzurri D'Italia stadium. Atalanta's stadium has nearly 27,000 seats.
