About FC Copenhagen
F.C. Copenhagen (also known as : F.C. Kobenhavn, or FCK) is one of the most successful clubs in Danish football and the highest-ranking Scandinavian club in the UEFA team rankings list a Danish football club. FCK plays in the Danish Superliga and has won more than 7 Danish Superliga championships, 4 Danish Cup trophies, and two Scandinavian tournament Royal Leagues. In the 2006/07 season, FCK qualified for the UEFA Champions League, the first time in the club's history.
F.C. Copenhagen was founded in 1992 and plays its home matches at the Parken Stadium. The matches between FC Copenhagen and its rival, Copenhagen suburban club Brondby IF attract the biggest crowds in Danish football history.
In Superliga home matches, FCK players wear blue-collared white shirts, white shorts and white socks with blue Kappa logos. In Superliga away matches, FCK players wear white-collared black shirts, black shorts and black socks. The uniforms also use white Kappa logos.
In European home matches, FCK players wear white shirts with red and blue Kappa logos on the shoulders. In European away matches, FCK players wear navy blue shirts with Kappa logos on the shoulders. In some matches, FCK players wear fuchsia shirts with a black collar and white Kappa logos on the shoulders. Black shorts and socks are used.
In its first year, F.C. Copenhagen was successful; the club won the Inter-toto Cup that year and qualified for the UEFA Cup. The following seasons featured much less success for FCK in the Superliga despite winning 2 Danish Cup trophies.
In the 2001-2002 season, F.C. Copenhagen begun improving and won its 2nd Superliga championship. The 2008–2009 season starting seemed promosing for FCK as the club qualified for the UEFA Cup group stage. FC Copenhagen News
