About Fulham FC

Fulham (also known as Fulham Football Club, Fulham FC and Fulham F.C) is a professional English football team based in Fulham, UK. Fulham plays in the Premier League which is the top tier of English football. Fulham is the oldest professional football team in London.

Fulham was established in 1897 and knew many ups and downs throughout its history. During the 1995/1996 season, Fulham hit the bottom of the football division after losing the match against Torquay United which was at the bottom of the division, one place below Fulham at the time. Hitting the bottom shook Fulham and initiated the replacement of Fulham's manager with a player named Mickey Adams. This change was eventually the beginning of a new era for Fulham. Shortly after the manager replacement, Fulham has begun its slow, continuous climb back to the top tier.

After several additional management changes, Fulham played in the Premier League in the 2001/02 season and ended up in the 13th place. In the following season, Fulham was very close to the relegation zone but then Chris Coleman was appointed as the team manager and he managed to ensure Fulham will preserve its place in the Premier League for the next season in which Fulham ended up in the safer 13th place, away from the relegation zone. In the 2005/06, Fulham ended up in the 12th place but in the following season of 2006/07 a noticeable improvement has led Fulham to end up in the 8th place.

At the end of the 2007/08 season, Fulham was very close to the relegation zone again, Fulham's new manager Roy Hodgson has taken his place and thanks to his believe that Fulham's survival was attainable, he lead Fulham to win four of their remaining five games and secure Fulham's Premier League position for the 2008/2009 season and the following season.
