About Bolton Wanderers
The Bolton Wanderers Football Club (also know as Wanderers) is a professional football club in England which plays in the Premier League and is actually one of the teams that have indeed managed to spend more time in the Premier League than out of the Premier League, the 2008/2009 season was their 70th season in that league. The Bolton Wanderers club was founded in 1874 and was one of the founding members of the English football league formed in 1888. The Bolton Wanderers Football Club is based in Horwich, a town in Bolton, Manchester.
Towards the end of the 1986/1987 football season, Bolton Wanderers club was relegated to the Fourth Division for the 1st time in the club history. Fortunately, it wasn’t for long. Bolton Wanderers have been promoted to the Third Division after their first attempt.
Tanks to a victory over Reading in the Division One play-off final, the Bolton Wanderers reached the Premiership again in 1995 but their performance was insufficient and relegation was soon to come. However, Bolton Wanderers won promotion back to the Premiership at the first attempt thanks to achieving 98 league points and 100 goals in that season. .
Bolton Wanderers team was relegated at the end of the 1997/1998 season from the Premiership but promoted back in the 2000-2001 season to the Premier Leauge.
During the two following seasons, Bolton Wanderers invested a lot of efforts and managed to avoid relegation from the Premier Leauge. Bolton struggled in the following two seasons, but survived in the Premier League.
Bolton Wanderers reached the League Cup final in 2004 and finished in the 8th place of the league (the club's highest win at that time in its Premiership history). It was the following season in which they have finished at the 6th place and qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time in the Bolton Wanderers club history.
Bolton Wanderers football kit cosists of white shirts with navy trim, navy shorts and white socks for home games. For away matches, the football kit consist of the same design but the color is navy blue with red trim.
