About UEFA Champions League The Champions League (also known as UEFA Champions League and formerly known as the European Cup) is an annual football cup competition for the top football clubs in Europe. Each team that participates in the group stage is awarded with €2,400,000. When a team wins in the campaign, it is entitled to a €800,000 reward; if a match ends with a draw, the reward is €400,000. Each team that reaches the quarter finals is awarded with €2,500,000, Each team that reaches the semi-finals is awarded with €3,000,000.
